Our History
Affordable Exterior Shutters began in a basement in Newnan, Georgia. Our 5 year old wooden shutters were past the point of deterioration making our home look old, neglected, and worn. So we did what any average Joe would do, we turned to the internet to find ourselves a great deal.
We wanted to replace our exterior shutters with something that would last while minimizing maintenance and maximizing the craftsman-style look of our home. When we saw what this type of quality construction cost, we were floored!
The price of premium recycled wood or PVC shutters was shocking. We where determined to find it cheaper. So we spent the next week scouring the internet for “affordable”, “wholesale” and “discount” providers but couldn’t find any. We then stumbled upon a composite board supplier and ended up making the Board n’ Batten shutters ourselves for half the cost.
Our neighbors were so impressed by our newly minted shutters that they wanted them too and that was it, our incidental company was born.
